The 2014 racing season is well underway, but things haven't exactly been going smoothly for the Trim-Tex Drywall Products team. After two extremely disappointing D.N.F.s (Did Not Finishes) at the first race weekend of the year, the team headed to the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course in Lexington, OH, hoping for better results. Saturday's race was chaotic from the wave of the green flag, and after just two laps, Josh found himself tangled up with a slower driver causing both drivers to spin and restart from the back of the pack. Josh worked his way back through the pack and finished the race in eighteenth position out of thirty-eight cars. He finished fourteenth in Sunday's race after struggling with electrical problems.
Two weeks after Mid-Ohio, the SCCA Major's Tour visited Road America for the 59th running of the SCCA June Sprints. Throughout practice and qualifying, Josh struggled with more electrical problems. After a disappointing finish during Saturday's race, Sunday's race ended early when Josh was involved in a ten car pile-up during a restart. We have been hard at work rebuilding the car and hope to make the next SCCA Major race which is being held at Gingerman Raceway in Michigan. As far as driver coaching and development work, Josh has been working with Laps Incorporated track days, Hooked on Driving, Ferrari Challenge cars, and even Corvette and the new C7 Z51 Stingray! Don't forget to contact Josh to take your on-track driving skills to the next level.
