(Richfield, WI) Josh Bilicki, out of Richfield, WI, is set for a multi-race campaign in the TA2 class in the Trans Am Series driving the number 70 Howe Racing Enterprises Ford Mustang, the same car that Tony Ave won with at Road America in 2015. “I can’t begin to describe how excited and thankful I am for this opportunity. The Trans Am series is one of the most well known and historic series in the world and has seen legendary drivers such as A.J. Foyt, Jacky Ickx, Richard Petty, Parnelli Jones, Scott Pruett, Tommy Kendall, and the list goes on. I have been following the TA2 class very closely for several years now and have been working hard to get behind the wheel of one of these cars. Bilicki’s first race in the TA2 Ford Mustang will be during the historic SCCA June Sprints at Road America in the GT2 class, held on June 17th through the 19th. His first SCCA Pro Racing – Trans Am race will be at Brainerd International Raceway shortly after on Fourth of July weekend. “Right now our plan is to race Brainerd International Raceway on Fourth of July weekend, Mid-Ohio on August 13th, and Road America on August 27th. Mid-Ohio and Road America are with the NASCAR Xfinity Series so those should be very cool events. If all goes well during these three Trans Am races, I am hoping that we can find more funding and race COTA and Daytona later on in the year as well.” Josh will also continue his SCCA Majors Program in the competitive Spec Miata class.
