Josh Bilicki heads to his home race, Road America, with high expectations and a long list of Wisconsin based sponsors. The 23-year-old Wisconsin native is looking to improve on his 12th place finish at the 2017 Johnsonville 180.
Bilicki’s unique journey into NASCAR began in 2016 at Road America, after contacting Obaika Racing and securing a seat just a few days before the race weekend. He would qualify an impressive 23rd, with just five prior laps in a NASCAR Xfinity Series car. Since his first NASCAR start in 2016, Bilicki has raced three NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series races and has signed a full season NASCAR Xfinity Series contract with the newly formed JP Motorsports.
He will bring several Wisconsin based businesses with him as sponsors to the 2018 Johnsonville 180 at Road America. Bilicki’s primary sponsor, Prevagen, a memory loss supplement, is based in Madison, WI. ShopKo, headquartered in Ashwaubenon, WI, is co-sponsoring the car with Prevagen. You can pick up your bottle of Prevagen in one of the 363 ShopKo stores in the U.S. Ariens, most popular for their snow-blowers and lawn tractors, will be a secondary sponsor. Marriott Construction Companies of Wisconsin will also be a secondary sponsor. Other Wisconsin sponsors for Josh include Trudell Performance, Associated Bank, Chimney Mechanix, and Cedar Valley Cheese Store.
“I take great pride in the fact that all of my sponsors are local Wisconsin and Illinois companies,” says Bilicki. “I work very hard to secure my own sponsorship and I’ve been very, very blessed to have such a great group of businesses not only support me, but believe in me and my dreams. Road America is my favorite race of the year and we will have close to 75 guests at the track. I had my best career NASCAR finish here in 2017 (12th) and I hope that we can improve on that finish this year.”
The Johnsonville 180 at Road America will be aired live on NBC Sports Network at 2:00PM Central Time. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at www.roadamerica.com.

Josh Bilicki to pull double duty at Watkins Glen in NASCAR Xfinity Series and Monster Energy Cup Series.
“I’m so incredibly excited and thankful for this opportunity,” says Bilicki. “Two years ago, at this time, I hadn’t even really considered the possibility of a career in NASCAR. Things materialized quickly and here we are. Rick gave me the opportunity to make my Cup Series debut last year at Sonoma, so it’s a familiar feeling being around the team.”
Jacob Companies will be the primary sponsor on the #51 Rick Ware Racing Ford Fusion. Jacob Companies is the Official Construction Company of NASCAR. Jacob Companies is a multifaceted construction firm with a focus on construction, development, design and technology services. Jacob also provides design and management services throughout the broad spectrum of technology, installation and information transport. Joining Jacob Companies on the car will be Wisconsin based Marriott Drywall Materials. Marriott has been a longtime supporter of Josh.
“I’m excited to represent the Official Construction Company of NASCAR, Jacob Companies, and also Marriott Drywall Materials. Jacob Companies has been involved in NASCAR for some time now and it will be awesome to add my name to the list of drivers that they have supported. Marriott Drywall helped me make my professional sportscar racing debut in IMSA in 2015, my NASCAR Xfinity debut in 2016, and my Cup Series debut in 2017. It means a lot to have someone believe in me so much over the years. I think that we will give the Cup Stars a run for their money this weekend!”
You can watch Josh race the NASCAR Xfinity Series Zippo 200 on Saturday in his Prevagen Toyota Camry. The race will be televised live on NBC at 3:00PM Eastern Time. The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series Go Bowling at the Glen will be televised live on NBC Sports Network on Sunday at 3:00PM Eastern Time. Look for Josh in the #51 Jacob Companies Ford Fusion.

JP Motorsports is proud to announce the addition of Josh Bilicki to our 2018 driver lineup. Bilicki will pilot the No. 45 Prevagen Toyota Camry, beginning in two weeks at the Daytona International Speedway. JP Motorsports, who purchased Tri-Star Racing’s Xfinity cars, was not expected to field a second entry until Atlanta. On Friday, the organization secured a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota and finalized a deal with Bilicki to start the season with two cars.
“I’m ecstatic to announce a full season effort in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with JP Motorsports in the #45 Prevagen Toyota Camry,” said Bilicki. “I have gained a lot of valuable experience over the past two years by racing at different tracks and with different teams, but it will be nice to show up to every race this year with the same team. I come from a road course racing background, so there are still several NASCAR tracks that I have yet to race. It feels great to have the business side of things done before the season starts, so now I can focus solely on driving. It will be a year full of learning, but we have good equipment and cars and will be competitive from the start.”
Bilicki brings Prevagen® with him to JP Motorsports. Prevagen is the number one selling brain health supplement in America and has been shown to support healthy brain function, a sharper mind and clearer thinking and is manufactured by Madison, Wisconsin based Quincy Bioscience. Prevagen sponsored Bilicki in four XFINITY Series starts and at New Hampshire in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series last season.
“This certainly wouldn’t be possible without Prevagen," says Bilicki. "They were my primary sponsor at several NASCAR races last year, so it will be great to have them for a full season this year. The company began in a building only five miles from my house, which I find very cool. They are still located in Wisconsin, so I hope to be able to grow the Wisconsin Prevagen brand throughout the 2018 season.”
“We’re very pleased to be able to support Josh for the entire racing season this year,” said Todd Olson, market development manager at Quincy Bioscience. “He’s proven himself to be a great competitor and we’re looking forward to seeing how Josh turns last years’ experience into some exciting finishes this year.”
Tune into the PowerShares QQQ 300 at the Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 17th at 2:30 p.m. ET on FS1 to see Josh Bilicki try his hand at restrictor plate racing for the first time.

Bilicki made his professional racing debut in 2015 in the IMSA Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge with Trim-Tex Drywall Products as his primary sponsor. Josh would later co-drive with Trim-Tex Drywall Products CEO, Joe Koenig, in what was Joe's final professional sportscar race in late 2015 at Circuit of the Americas in Texas. Joe and Josh paired up again as teammates for the 2016 25 Hours of Thunderhill, where they placed third in class in the Trim-Tex Mazda MX5 Cup Car. They drove together again in the 2017 25 Hour race, this time securing the top step of the podium and placing first in class!

(Milwaukee, WI) Josh Bilicki is thrilled to announce a new partnership with a marketing team out of Milwaukee, WI. Consisting of Jim Beaudoin and Jeff Cowie, the marketing team will focus on securing sponsorship for the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity season and beyond.
Jim Beaudoin, who is in the investment management business, comes from a family with a rich heritage in auto racing. His father, Jim Beaudoin Sr., formed an Indy Car Team named Beaudoin Racing in the early 1980s, racing in the world-renowned Indianapolis 500. Jim has a passion for auto racing and is an accomplished amateur sports car racer.
”Josh and I met several years ago at the March of Dimes Drive for Babies charity event at Road America,” says Jim. “He was volunteering as an instructor and I was surprised of his maturity at such a young age. We grew to be friends and I have been fortunate to witness his pure driver talent as an up-and-coming rising star in the world of Motorsport Racing”.
Jeff Cowie is a semi-retired business executive specializing in brand creation, brand development, and marketing. He is a professionally-trained race car driver in open wheel and drives in Porsche Club events.
“I’ve known Josh for a couple years,” says Jeff Cowie. “From the time we first met, I was impressed not only with his raw talent, but equally his stature, integrity, character, and ethics. Because of these attributes, we reached out to him to ask for the opportunity to represent him. We are fortunate to work with Josh and as Jim and I feel, he has the potential to become the next Jeff Gordon or Jimmy Johnson.”
“I’m very thankful and excited to see what Jim, Jeff, and I can put together,” says Josh. "Jim and Jeff are both very successful and well connected in the industry. I’m confident that we will put our heads together and move forward in to 2018!”
The first NASCAR Xfinity Series race of 2018 is the Powershares QQQ 300 at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 17th. The full schedule can be found here: https://www.nascar.com/nascar-xfinity-series/2018/schedule.
Race teams have once again taken on the challenge of racing twice around the clock plus an hour in the chill of Northern California December. Just finishing the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill is an accomplishment, let alone winning. Two Mazda teams emerged victorious in their classes during the Dec. 2-3, 2017, race in which the overall winner covered 2,200 miles.
One of those was the Trim-Tex Racing Team of Joe Koenig, Josh Bilicki, Britt Casey Jr. and Cameron Cassels, winning the E1 class in their Mazda Global MX-5 Cup car. The team recovered nicely from last year’s disappointment when a mechanical problem during the grueling torture test of a race weekend left them just short of winning the class. Just two laps separated Trim-Tex Racing and second-place class finisher Team MooreWood Racing.
"We were so close to victory at this race last year, but we had a gear box problem that cost us the win,” says Josh. “We collected everything we learned about this race last year and came back even stronger this year. We had a really strong driver line up and it showed. We had a near flawless race, with the exception of losing fifth gear with four hours to go. We were able to successfully nurse the car home to a two lap win. It was a great way to redeem ourselves after last year. Thank you to Joe Koenig and Team Trim-Tex for bringing me back to the team this year. We are already beginning to plan our 2018 effort!”

Team Trim-Tex Drywall Products heads back to the longest endurance race in the country, the 25 Hours of Thunderhill presented by Hawk Performance. The twice around the clock plus one hour race, located in Northern California, takes place on December 2nd - 3rd. It continues to bring professional and amateur race teams from across the globe.
Last year, team Trim-Tex finished third in class and 17th overall in a 2017 Mazda MX5 Cup Car prepared by GuestDriver.com. This year, Team Trim-Tex has assembled an all-star team of their own and will race the same car. Drivers Josh Bilicki, Joe Koenig, Britt Casey Jr., and Cameron Cassels will rotate driving the Mazda MX5 Cup Car throughout the long, enduring 25 hour race. With the help of Eurosport Racing during pit stops, the team hopes to finish two spots higher than last year.
Live streaming, timing, and more information about the race can be found on the 25 Hours of Thuderhill website. nasa25hour.com/
Josh Bilicki had a very strong showing in his first Trans Am Series race at Daytona International Speedway on November 11th, driving for Blaise Csida of B.C. Race Cars.
“We have been so close so many times, but the podium has alluded us. I have always believed our cars and set-ups are top notch and capable of winning, and Josh was able to deliver in extremely difficult conditions” stated Blaise, team principal at BC Race Cars Inc.
Josh was quick right out of the box, asking for no changes until he learned the car and track. With a minor rear spring change, he topped the charts in the first official practice and placed sixth in the second practice on a full fuel load run. In qualifying, he pulled off a beautiful lap, placing second in a tight field where the top six were separated by only 0.6 secs, missing the pole by 0.171 of a second!
Race day looked scary as the track was wet and the oval does not require a wet set-up. After lots of head scratching, it was decided to set the car up for mixed conditions. Josh took the lead on lap one but fell to third on lap two. After an exciting 100 mile race in wet then dry conditions, Josh was never went below fourth position and finished with a well-deserved third place.
"To come here and be some competitive right out of the box was awesome! This was my first Trans Am Series race. I've been watching this TA2 class grow for the last five years and the talent level in this specific class is very high. I'm very happy with our results and want to thank Blaise Csida and the rest of the guys from B.C. Race Cars for all of their help this weekend. It was an absolute blast and I hope to be back for more race next season."

(Richfield, WI) Josh Bilicki will compete in the season finale Trans Am race at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, November 11th. He will drive the #25 B.C. Racecars Chevrolet Camaro in the Trans Am TA2 class.
"The Trans Am Series has been on my radar since I was a child," says Bilicki. "It's arguably one of the most historic auto racing series in the country. Racing icons such as AJ Foyt, Mark Donohue, Jack Baldwin, and Tommy Kendall have all raced and won in the series. I can remember watching the Trans Am race every year at Road America in the early 2000s and thinking to myself how cool it would be to race one of these cars. High horse power, not much downforce, and no Traction Control or ABS make the cars challenging to drive, which I really enjoy."
"The TA2 class was brought to life right around the same time I began racing sportscars at an amateur level, so I've been able to watch it grow into the class it is today," Bilicki continues. "It produces hard, close racing and attracts some of the best drivers in the country. I'm excited to get behind the wheel of the #25 BC Racing Camaro at Daytona!"
Bilicki will bring Sweet Marlays' Coffee onboard the race weekend as an associate sponsor. Sweet Marlays' Coffee is located in Daytona Beach, FL, only about ten minutes away from the Speedway. For more information about Sweet Marlays', visit: sweetmarlays.com/
