A+ Racing, owned and ran by Al Angulo, announced last week that they will sign Josh as one of their drivers to compete in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, which will take place on December 6th-7th.  The team will field two E3 Mazda Miatas.

"I'm beyond excited for the 25 Hours of Thunderhill.  I've been interested in this race since I first saw videos of it in 2010.  I know it's going to be physically and mentally exhausting for us drivers and our crew members, but I'm ready for the challenge," said Josh.

Josh will drive the number 39 Mazda, along with drivers Mauricio Lastres, Michael Karpinski, and the fourth driver is yet to be announced.

"I think we have a very strong driver lineup this year, strong enough to compete for the class win.  I've been studying in-car video and playing the track repeatedly on my racing simulator! " Josh stated.

David Gehringer, who will be driving the team's other Mazda, said, "I always like to invite people to come out and watch at least part of the race.  It is unlike any racing event that most go see.  Direct paddock access, night racing, cheap cheap gate fees, and an unbelievable mix of race cars on the track at one time.  Not to mention the longest race in America with grid sizes often larger than LeMans."

The twice around the clock plus one hour event, sanctioned by the National Auto Sport Association (NASA), will take place at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, Calif., Dec 6-7. This will be the 11th running of the event and if trends continue, it will be the largest as well. Every year the event grows in status and it shows by the quality of teams that participate. In 2013 OEM teams from Mazda, Lexus, Acura, and Nissan competed along with teams from the Pirelli World Challenge. The drivers entered were also impressive with names like Al Unser Jr., Memo Gidley, Jeff Westphal, Mike Skeen, Anthony Lazzaro, Burt Frisselle, Rob Huff, and Randy Pobst. A fresh addition to this years event is the new presenting sponsor Hawk Performance. Hawk Brakes is a leading supplier of severe duty and high-performance friction products for the motorsports and performance aftermarket.”We are pleased that Hawk Performance is onboard for the 12th running of the 25 Hours of Thunderhill,” Jerry Kunzman, NASA executive director, said. “The portfolio of Hawk Performance products is a perfect fit for this event. Their brake pads and performance rotors get a workout during this great event. This year we are expecting a great field of 72 cars,” Kunzman continued. “Thunderhill has recently expanded their racing surface to cover five-miles. We are still in the decision stage if we will use the full five-miles come December. However, 25 around 5 does have a nice ring to it.”
